Coronavirus: Complete lockdown in Tamilnadu on Sunday, Jan 23
The Tamil Nadu government on Friday announced that a complete lockdown will remain in force across the state on Sunday, January 23, in view of the rising cases of COVID-19.

“All essential services which were allowed on January 16 will be allowed. An official release said that all services and activities that were banned on that day [on January 23] will be banned.
For the benefit of passengers arriving at Chennai Central and Egmore railway stations and bus terminus at Koyambedu, application-based reservation of autorickshaw services and cab services will be allowed. "This will be applicable at railway stations and bus terminus in the districts," the press release said.
The Chief Minister reiterated his request for cooperation from the general public. Significantly, on January 16, a complete lockdown was imposed in the entire state.
